Installing NSX VIBS on the ESXi host (Preparing ESXi cluster for NSX) is one of the important tasks in preparing your virtual infrastructure for NSX Network virtualization.Preparing ESXi cluster for NSX is a simple task. It will happen within in few clicks in the Networking & Security plugin from vSphere Web Client.Take a look at my article how to prepare ESXi hosts\ cluster for NSX esxcli software vib remove --vibname=nsx-esx-datapath --force --no-live-install. I needed to then manually load all of the 3.0.1 VIBs (using Lifecycle Manager in my case), and reboot each host one at a time. The order is following: esxcli software vib remove -n=nsx-adf esxcli software vib remove -n=nsx-context-mux esxcli software vib remove -n=nsx.
